June Ask the Expert: Secondary Trauma Resiliency

June Ask the Expert: Secondary Trauma Resiliency

Wednesday, June 12, 2024 (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Trauma is an inevitable part of our work in healthcare hospitality. Our families are managing some of the most challenging experiences in their lives, receiving a life altering diagnosis, experiencing painful treatments, facing their own mortality and the loss of loved ones. These are day to day experiences for the families we support, and we experience them vicariously every day.

Join our Ask the Expert Session, where Allen Browning will identify the secondary/vicarious trauma and build a toolbox of support methods to enable you to take care of yourself while supporting the patients and families who are part of our healthcare hospitality houses.

Allen will discuss the following key topics:

  • Overview of Trauma and Trauma responses.
  • Defining Secondary Trauma/Compassion Fatigue/Burnout.
  • Self-care and how to manage trauma and work day to day.
  • Working to alleviate burnout.

Don't miss out on this insightful and informative session. Register today!
