Meet our Expert: Michele Martinez Reese

Michele Martinez Reese is the Chief Development Officer at Family House San Francisco, where she leads fundraising strategy, cultivates donor relationships, and strengthens the organization’s philanthropic community. With a deep commitment to mission-driven work, Michele partners closely with staff, board members, and volunteers to increase visibility and resources that support families of children with serious illnesses.

Prior to joining Family House, Michele served as Executive Director of Leadership Gifts at KQED, where she spent 19 years in key fundraising and leadership roles. She played an integral part in KQED’s successful $140M Campaign 21 and led major gifts, stewardship, and campaign operations. Earlier in her career, she served as Director of Annual Giving at Grace Cathedral, significantly growing the donor base.

Michele holds a B.A. from UC Davis and an M.A. from the University of San Diego. She is active in the nonprofit community as a member of the Development Executive Roundtable and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
